I designed this set to

I designed this set to introduce new players to the game. Purposefully there is only one +Action card, no Attack cards, and quite a number of ways to reduce deck size (Salvager, Trade Route, or purchasing a mint). The idea is to help new players to see the value in keeping your deck trim, staying balanced with actions, using +buys, playing for big coin, and still offering a number of fun combos (KC on Stables, Explorer, or Mint).

For beginners, I would hold back Colony and Platinum cards, just for simplicity, though the addition of colonies would make Trade Route a bit more tempting.
